Are you a professional who works in animal care, such as -
First of all, thank you for all the wonderful work you do for our animals. However, this work sadly takes it's toll on many in this profession from dealing with abused, neglected and tortured animals, to euthanasia, supporting pet parents through difficult decisions, long work hours, lack of management support, financial issues, plus many other burn out issues! There are also those folks who volunteer at shelters and sanctuary's, and many of those facilities are run on monetary donations, and vets donating their time. We know that long term stress can cause havoc on our nervous system, and since the pandemic that stress and burnout has increased in this field. I learned about burnout in animal care professions while I was studying for my animal chaplain certification. It was then I realized that not only can I offer support for pet parents, but I can also offer support to the professionals who work with the animals. I do this by offering trauma stewardship, wellness, and self care classes and workshops through yoga, iRest yoga nidra meditation, and forest therapy guided walks for individuals or groups.
If you work in any type of animal care, and would like to find out more about this support, please contact me for more information, and pricing. Also check back here often, as I'll be uploading recordings for short yoga breaks that you can do during your work day, iRest yoga nidra meditations, and mini forest therapy guided walks.
