A forest therapy guided walk doesn’t need to be in the forest, that’s just the term given that covers a whole gamut of nature-based guided therapy walks, and it’s where modern-day scientific research first started recording about the effects of walking in the more than human world. A guided walk can be done at any time of the year, though in the winter months or when it’s colder the time spent on the walk is normally no more than 60-90 minutes. While in the warmer weather I’ve known walks to last up to 3 hours, depending upon the theme of the walk. Forest Therapy is also a trauma informed practice, and along with my trauma informed yoga, and meditation education, I can make my offerings unique, and personally tailored to fit folks needs.
